Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions. We have answers.

Can Pulp Art Surfaces Be Used Outdoors?

We do not recommend our product for outdoor use.  Some Movies and TV shows have had success with our product outdoors.  They painted the back and front of the product to “encapsulate” it.

What is the Fire Rating?

PAS Sheets have a ‘CLASS B’ rating from the SGS U.S. Testing Company, Inc. This test is in accordance with the National Fire Protection Assoc. and The International Building Code Interior Finishes, Section 803.

How Much Does A Sheet Weigh?

The sheets range in weight from 4lbs to 10lbs.

Are PAS skins safe and easy to work with?

Yes!  PAS wall skins are free of toxins and fire rated.  Due to the thickness, they can be mitered and sanded.  They have pre trimmed finger joints, are flexible, strong and lightweight.

How do the skins hold up to paint and or aging?

Our product paints well with any paint product.  There is no need for a primer, they have great adhesion and hold up well to water aging.

Do I need to add caulking or cement in between the joints?

Most of our skins are die cut, which means they fit together like a puzzle.  You will still see a slight seam so some people like to fill that in with a little filler, caulking or cement.

How Durable are the sheets?

PAS wall skins are approximately 3/16 inch thick so they’re extremely durable. They don’t crack when they’re cut or stapled and they have a cushioning effect.
