Specs & Safety Guidelines

Information to help installers understand working with Pulp Art Surfaces products.

Material

PAS sheets are made from 100% post-consumer products; newsprint, cardboard and wood chips. PAS are reusable, recyclable, and compostable. PAS are durable, easily handled, and stackable. They are European Green Dot Compliant, conforming to ISO 14000 Standards.

Typical Applications

PAS sheets are used in film, television, retail store displays, theme parks, museums, and professional/educational theater projects to create the illusion of brick, stone, rock, and various architectural detailed wall surfaces. They are generally used as an interior application or for short term outdoor projects.

Size & Color

  • Length, Width, and Depth: See individual spec sheets.
  • Pulp Thickness: Approximately 3/16″ to 1/4″ thick.
  • Color: Natural finish, light cardboard tan color.

Acclimation

PAS sheets are a durable molded cellulose ber originating from trees. Like almost all materials in the home, PAS sheets expand and contract due to changes in temperature and humidity.

We recommend you allow this product to acclimate to the space it will be installed in for 24 hours. If caulking product, use a exible caulk to allow for some movement.

Health Hazards Information

  • Wear dust mask if dust is created.
  • Wear eye goggles if dust and chips are produced.

Handling Precautions

None that have to do with health or safety.

Fire Rating

PAS Sheets have a ‘CLASS B’ rating from the SGS U.S. Testing Company, Inc. This test is in accordance with the National Fire Protection Assoc. and The International Building Code Interior Finishes, Section 803.
